What Is a Health & Wellness Scan? Here's What to Expect

Kelly Meade, MS, BSN, NC-BC June 24, 2026 7 min read

A Health & Wellness Scan is a noninvasive wellness session that looks at how your body is responding to stress. It measures electrical responses through the skin to highlight patterns, and then uses that information to start a bigger, more personal conversation about how you actually feel. It is an educational wellness tool — not a medical test, a diagnosis, or a treatment.

Health & Wellness Scan

A noninvasive wellness service that measures electrical responses through the skin to explore stress-related patterns in the body. At Kelly Meade Wellness it is used to provide educational information that supports informed wellness decisions. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition.

Why women come in for a scan

Many people arrive after months — sometimes years — of searching for answers. Often they have already done a great deal:

  • They have seen their doctors.
  • They have had lab work.
  • They have had testing.
  • They have spent time, money, and energy trying to understand why they do not feel well.

And yet they are still living with symptoms and still feel like something is off. A wellness scan is not meant to replace any of that care. It is meant to add another, more holistic view — a way to step back and look at the whole picture instead of one symptom at a time.

What the scan actually measures

The scan is noninvasive and comfortable. It reads electrical responses through the skin and looks for stress-related patterns within the body. Because it evaluates how the body is responding to stress, the conversation naturally touches on areas such as:

  • Stress and the nervous system
  • Metabolic health
  • Hormones
  • Sleep
  • Inflammation
  • Nutritional status
  • Environmental stressors
  • Food sensitivities
  • Emotional well-being
  • Overall wellness patterns

It is worth being clear about the wording here: the scan highlights patterns and areas that may benefit from additional support. It does not name a disease, and it is not a substitute for laboratory testing or a medical evaluation.

What to expect during your visit

The initial visit is unhurried on purpose — it is designed to give us time to gather information and to genuinely talk. Nothing about the scan is painful or invasive. Most importantly, we do not stop at collecting data.

“Many clients tell me they finally feel like someone listened, connected the dots, and helped them better understand what may be contributing to how they feel.”

You leave with answers, direction, and a plan that is based on the information gathered during your session. Visits are available in person and virtually, whichever works better for your life.

What a wellness scan is — and what it is not

This distinction matters, so here it is plainly:

It is

  • A noninvasive, educational wellness tool
  • A way to look at the whole person, not one symptom
  • A starting point for informed wellness decisions
  • A complement to the care you already receive

It is not

  • A medical diagnosis
  • A laboratory or blood test
  • A treatment or cure for any condition
  • A replacement for your physician or medications

If something during a session suggests you should follow up with your medical provider, that is exactly the encouragement you will receive. A whole-person approach works best alongside your healthcare team, not instead of it.
